[ It's been— a while. Long enough that he's out of the woods of his transformation, that all that went on over a month before feels almost superseded by everything that's come after. Neither of them have reached out, which is to be expected - but she's still here somewhere. And sooner or later the silence has to break.

Fortunately, he has just the excuse, courtesy of a necromancer's prank-shaped warning. If it goes badly, there's still room for both of them to back away unscathed. ]

[ Voiceless words are safer territory for now, so he sticks with them. ]

[ He may be out of the woods, but Wanda's tucked happily in them. Can it be considered an upgrade from a magically fuelled orchard? Time will only tell.

Wanda doesn't smack away his voice as one might expect. Stephen isn't a welcome presence, but he's not unwelcome, either. He tried. He tried when others hadn't. He tried and put himself out there and received ridicule for it.

She's sat with that for a while since taking to the woods. She has no idea what to do with it. ]

[ He assumes that will means something to her, the note having specifically requested that it find its way to her. This particular message had been received loud and clear: a playful, pranking warning, but a warning all the same.

Fortunately for friends of Wanda Maximoff, he doesn't plan on picking any fights they might feel the need to weigh in on. ]

Where should I find you?

[ He won't assume he's welcome wherever she already is, though it wouldn't be as difficult now to trace her as it was when they last met. Instead, he waits for an answer. Permission to approach on neutral ground if she'd rather find it. ]

[ If they were face to face, he'd see her smile.

His question gives her pause, but Wanda decides to answer it all the same. Being out in the woods hasn't given her a new outlook—she still wants what she wants, and she'll still do whatever she can to get it—but it's made her less… What can we say? Guarded?
