[And true to word he won't. He just grabs a few bottles from the stash (sorry Dean, not sorry at all) and heads to their lantern to focus on the one that feels the most like Wanda.
It's weird tech, (okay, it's magic..) but once you get the hang of it the whole thing is pretty easy. It reminds Sam of the flue network in Harry Potter. Shut up.
Way less jolting than teleportation in his own world was.
But whatever, enjoy Wanda there is a large wild man thing at the edge of your property and he comes bearing gifts.]
[ the wild man thing that appears on the edge of her property is, indeed, one sam winchester. it's good to see that the lighthouses and the strange travelling everyone seemed to endure over the last month or so hasn't done anything to change how he physically appears.
something feels different about him. she can't quite put her finger on it, but for now, she's more focused on wanting to ensure he's in one piece. sam seems like the type to still insist he's fine despite being cut in half.
wanda, still rather tiny despite how big she's grown in her powerbase, approaches him with her hands in the pockets of her coat. her lantern remains where he stands, glowing brightly despite the ugly creatures seeming to cling to it.
smiling, she extends her hands to her sides, still in her pockets. ] Welcome to Casa de Wanda.
[He smiles and straightens up a little bit. There's a glance spared for the lamp friends but he doesn't care about them either way and thus has no opinion.
Wanda seems a little different too, but in a good way. A solid way. Maybe she'd just been especially traumatised there at the end of Deerington or maybe his new blood abilities here are picking up on the sparks of her emense power. Either way he opens his arms a little bit, hands holding bottles.]
Well.. New world, monsters, weird blood.. I'm pretty sure we're squids now, but yeah. Mostly okay. Better to know you're here.
[ she cocks a brow and smiles. that's not the question he's asking, she knows. he's asking the question people who care about you ask. it's not a question she knows how to answer properly. never really bothered to create a script for it the way she has everything else.
she shrugs and takes a step forward to gently take one of the bottles from his hands. can't trust a moose to carry everything, after all. ]
I'm still deciding on how I feel. [ it's the truth, at least. ] At least there are familiar faces. [ she looks pointedly at sam before looking at the bottle in her hand. ] And alcohol.
[ she scrunches her nose. ] Do you think squids can drink alcohol?
[In fairness to Wanda it is a pretty terrible question and not one that is easy to answer truthfully. Sam appreciates her candid honesty. He always has.]
Well, there's only one way to find out.
[He gives a gesture back towards the house to lead on. He will follow faithfully and admire the familiar architecture. He's seen houses like this a million times from the back window of the impala. Another thousand times during investigations. A time or two on pleasure. They're nice. Traditional. Familiar.]
[ her house is too big for just one person, but it's enough for wanda. to her, it looks like a house that would belong to a witch with its high roof, numerous windows, front porch, and the porch steps that would be perfect for pumpkins at halloween. to her, the house is a perfect mix of all the houses she used to imagine herself and pietro living in from her serials.
she leads him along her front yard that's plain without many trees or garden beds. she's still trying to figure that all out—does she want a tree to the right? extend her driveway to the left? it's a work in progress, much like her, but everything around the house looks real and vibrant. some of the bushes lined in front of her house pulse a faint red.
she nods. ] Just Wanda.
[ she looks up at her house and thinks that it would be better if it was filled with people, but all she has is ghosts. ]
Oh. And animals. [ she wrinkles her nose. ] I have horses around the back and a dog somewhere digging holes. It's loud enough with them here.[ still quiet.
she turns around so she's walking backwards. regarding him with a furrowed brow, ] Are you allergic to dogs? I can get rid of all the dog hair.
[Just Wanda. Maybe that's better. You can get more done when you're alone. Focus better, work sharper, fight harder. There's no one slowing you down. No one to get in your way. Sam is a little jealous.
Or he might say he was. He doesn't really feel anything and it doesn't bother him. It should, but here we are.
He smiles and shakes his head no.]
Not at all, I love dogs. What kind is he?
[Old Sam loved dogs. This Sam is indifferent but he's doing his best to act like nothing is different in a world where everything is.]

I've got red wine and a local thing that's supposed to be similar to whiskey.
I could put a jalapeno in it?

Don't tell anyone; they'll want to join our very cool and exclusive party.
