rubi-telepathy. day after house's hearing.
[ Since he knows House won't say it and he really appreciates having someone else speak on the guy's behalf. ]

It was no problem. I know he'd do the same for me if our roles were reversed.
[ Which would be stupid of him. ]
He's lucky to have someone like you in his corner, too. Even if he would grumble or claim the opposite.

(mavis-and-wanda telepathy, hard mode)
( Where I come from, the clans tell stories about people like us. How we can change someone's thoughts, their heart. They say it is how the Kossians draw so many to them. I have never seen it. )
( Is it true? Can you do this? )
no subject
This question was, like Thanos, inevitable.
Perhaps it's best that it's first asked by Mavis, someone who at least understands the scope and weight of having a power like this, than someone who simply doesn't. There's an opportunity for understanding than fear and blossoming paranoia. ]
( Yes. )
[ It's best not to lie. Eventually, Mavis will learn the truth. It's best it comes from Wanda directly than indirectly. ]
( But it's not something you should do lightly. Some would say at all. )

[ She sends this, first, to Wanda on a whim, her emotions and the intensity of them wrapped and wound tight around her letters. Hardly contained, practically bursting at the seams.
(Where she lays on the ground, she can see her dick trophy recently hung on a shelf she had installed. She's been thinking about this for five of the thirty minutes she's spent loudly crying.) ]

Lottie's voice—text? god, it's so weird here—is a welcome reprieve from all her non-thinking. ]
Talking to you. :)
[ It's such a mom thing to say. ]
wydd?
[ The letters feel a little clumsy. Wanda's never really been one for acronyms unless she's texting Sam Wilson, and since he hasn't been at the top of her contact list in a while, she's been writing most of her questions out to those she does contact. (She avoided a lot of people until Rubilykskoye.) ]

Text, after Quentin's post
Just in case.
[Sweeney has no idea what he could actually do, but he felt it was important to make the offer. Maybe it's lingering feelings from the life when they were a team, together for better or worse, 'til death do them part.]
no subject
The All-Sight and the Void can co-exist together. Two witches hold what they want in their hands. It's the perfect ending to an underrated fairytale. ]
I trust Quentin with it.
[ It's not a matter of trust, is it, Wanda. ]
I don't need to see it. I don't need it.

voice, during the player plot
As it turns out, the plan is simple. He wanders out into the town until, eventually, he finds himself in the square in front of the tavern, where they'd held the talent show so many months ago. It's strange to be in such a big empty space, but he doesn't stop to take in the view. He hitches his way across to a stone bench in the middle of the square. Sets down his cane and slings the acoustic guitar off his back. A strum to check the tuning, adjusting his fingers, then he sets his right foot on the bench like an old time-y bard. ]
Ladies and gentleman, [ he announces to the empty square, but also reaches out to Wanda's space in his mind and heart. ] This is Wandawall.
[ Then he launches into it, singing loud across the square and into Wanda's thoughts. ]
Today is gonna be the day that they're gonna throw it back to you,
And by now, you should've somehow realised what you gotta do,
I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now..

He fits inside what she wants Rubilykskoye to be.
If he's here, her boys can be here. Everything everyone had in the Void can be here. He's one of the things that doesn't need fixing here.
It's hard to ignore him, even though some of Wanda wants to. Instead, she comes, much like he's the siren and she's the sailor, but Wanda doesn't believe he'll try and drown her. He's not that type of man.
Her smile isn't what it would be under any other circumstance; it's small, sad, because she knows what he's doing. He's rejecting everything, just like others are. ]
What are you doing, Grishka?
[ She asks it softly, knowing he'll hear her even if the song is louder than the volume of the town. ]

Fortunately, he has just the excuse, courtesy of a necromancer's prank-shaped warning. If it goes badly, there's still room for both of them to back away unscathed. ]
I have a delivery for you.
[ Voiceless words are safer territory for now, so he sticks with them. ]

Wanda doesn't smack away his voice as one might expect. Stephen isn't a welcome presence, but he's not unwelcome, either. He tried. He tried when others hadn't. He tried and put himself out there and received ridicule for it.
She's sat with that for a while since taking to the woods. She has no idea what to do with it. ]

Invitation
[CW: implied bull kink, cuckolding, breeding kink, creampie, multiple partners, serial partners, sloppy seconds, bondage, voyeurism, d/s, necromantic manipulation, animated skeletons, vague allusion to necrophilia (forgive me if I missed any warnings).]
[OOC: The party ICly takes place on December 22nd and Ianthe's house from 7:00-8:00pm on a first come/first serve basis. The log will be posted on Dec 17th, with the smut threads themselves intended to be short. There will be a place for partygoers to mingle amongst themselves while waiting their turn.
Reply to this comment to RSVP Ianthe on your character's attendance, refusal, questions, etc. Feel free to contact Gilia via her inbox to confirm the invitation is legit/with concerns or questions. It is okay to decline the invitation!
Important note: Whereas Ianthe will take participation in the party as IC consent to have her use her necromancy to speed up orgasm if needed, this will only occur with OOC permission.]

I'm starting to think these Moot Halls are always dramatic.
[ it's only 40% at most of a joke. ]
I'd rather hear your perspective, though, if you're willing to share.
[ text ] »
[ What kind of score would this conversation have? She thinks nothing but silence to allow the significance of being asked for her perspective to settle into the audience. Sometimes, one doesn't need a soft Taylor Swift song to emphasise its importance. ]
I tried to help the Duchess and insulted her while giving her a piece of her heart. It's what they say.

backdated to post moothall, audio.
What he gets instead are the beginnings of battle lines drawn in the sand, accusations flung and notable congratulations withheld.
As of this moment, he knows which side he stands on. Lets the meeting come to an end before he reaches out, but barely. ]
What happened?

Briefly considers lying, then decides it's best she just doesn't fucking do that. ]
I offended the Duchess when I returned a piece of her heart. You know better than anyone how that is one of my best skills.
[ She offends those without powers, the United States government. She's offended Westview, and Earth-838. Isn't this Wanda simply being Wanda? ]

May 23
[Ianthe sat on the roof of the clock tower, watching the town go on down below, as she messaged Wanda. Heavy. Lonely. Fractured. Always fractured.]

She could say something silly, like how she once stole Pietro's favourite running shoes when he had worn the soles of his other pair to the bone… or how she once told Mama about Pietro tiptoeing into the kitchen and eating the chocolate she'd put aside as a treat.
But they're all mundane, little things. Ianthe already knows Wanda's capable of much more than mundane, little things.
Her thoughts come across in her thick, Slavic accent. ]
I tried to kill a young woman for her powers so I could steal my children from an alternate version of myself. But that's only a portion of the worst thing I've done for my family.
[ She doesn't wish to bore Ianthe with the tl;dr. What she does want to do is establish one thing: this is the non-judging breakfast club. ]
Are you all right?

A token of appreciation
So now he stands on her cottage's doorstep with parcel in hand. It's intimidating, to be sure. Sweeney's confident that he won't surprise her; he's not sure he'll ever master the art enough to conceal his presence from her; but at least he's not painting pictures or calling out his sentiments preemptively.
He knocks three times.
no subject
It's not because of any spellwork—Wanda has her wards, although they aren't quite as intense as they had been in Westview or Sokovia. They're there to protect her and let her exist in her private little bubble of what Pietro would call delusion. She likes being delusional. It keeps her sane.
But sometimes, that bubble pops, and reality stands at her doorstep.
She knows he's there because she's Wanda Maximoff. Her reach is wide and vast, and even the smallest of thoughts bang loudly on her windows.
As she opens the door: "Did you know some people believe knocking three times will protect them?" she asks, smiling. Wanda's comfortably dressed in shorts and a plaid button-up, although she's missed a button and left it looking askew. She likes it. It's modern. "I wonder what it is you think you need protecting from."
